Think of &lt;a href="http://www.comms.dcu.ie/sheehanh/lsongs.htm" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Red Flag&lt;/a&gt; (UK and Irish socialist anthem) or &lt;a href="http://www.anu.edu.au/polsci/marx/int/int.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Internationale&lt;/a&gt;. Many national anthems for that matter were probably political campaign songs at some point.</description>
